In November the Director of Labour Market Enforcement, Margaret Beels, launched a call for evidence seeking views on a number of areas, primarily surrounding the Fair Work Agency (FWA) created by the new Labour government.
The four areas of questioning were:
- Employment rights enforcement priorities and governance
- Communication and engagement
- Resourcing and prioritisation
- Moving towards a FWA
With the Fair Work Agency set to shift how the government enforces and manages employment rights, it is key that payroll professionals feed into this data collection.
The Call for evidence is now closed the CIPP’s response is available on the policy hub of our website for members to read, along with all the other consultations and calls for evidence that we have responded to.
Keep an eye out for future consultations and let us know if there are any you would like to have your input in on.
