HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Department for Business and Trade (DBT) guidance on Neonatal Care Pay has been updated.

The page, Tell an employee that they're not eligible for Statutory Neonatal Care Pay (NEO1), contains a tool to complete an online form, a warning has been added to ensure you have all the information before completing the form as it cannot be saved.

The information you will need is:

  • details of the company
  • details of the person responsible for dealing with the employee’s claim
  • employee’s details, including their National Insurance number and address
  • start date for the period that the employee is not eligible for Statutory Neonatal Care Pay, and the end date (if there is one).
