The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has published a new consultation as part of the governments Make work Pay initiative, Bereavement Leave, including pregnancy loss.
The aim of the consultation is to ensure the new entitlement is shaped to best suit the needs of employees and employers.
The consultation seeks views on:
- eligibility criteria
- types of pregnancy loss in scope
- when and how bereavement leave can be taken
- notice and evidence requirements
