The Policy Team will be responding the to  Parental leave and pay review Call for Evidence (CfE) on behalf of members and the wider profession.

We recently held a Think Tank for Full members and above to give their input into our response. Additionally, we would like to open the most fundamental question in the CfE to everyone in this week’s Quick Poll.

Do you think that the current parental leave and pay entitlements supports any of these objectives? Please tick all that apply:

  • Provide enough time off work with enough pay to support mothers health
  • Help parents to stay in work and advance in their careers, including reducing the gender pay gap
  • Provide enough pay and leave for parents to help give the best start in life by supporting the healthy development of young children
  • Provide parents the flexibility to make balanced childcare choices, including co-parenting.
