In order to tackle inequality and support the right to equal pay, the government has released the Draft Equality (Race and Disability) Bill.
The draft Bill is likely to follow in the footsteps of the gender pay gap reporting for larger employers. With the plan to expose pay disparity and introduce additional equal pay protections for ethnic minorities and disabled people, making it easier to successfully make unequal pay claims.
However, it’s not mandatory for employees to provide their employers with their ethnicity or disability status. So where would that leave the reporting mandating?
Which has brought us to this week’s quick poll.
Do you hold ethnicity and disability data for employees? Please respond to the latest quick poll, as always, we appreciate your input.
