Online new starter checklist launched

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has launched a new online version of the new starter checklist.

The online version operates the same as the paper form but can be completed by the employee online and the filled-out form saved. The saved form can then be emailed.

In 2021/22 nearly 3 million new starter RTI submissions had discrepancies. This new form will help employers process the correct date, lower postage costs and reduce the need for contact with HMRC.

The printable version of the form is still available to download should it be required.
