Quick Poll results: How is your employer processing the value of your seasonal gift?

Back in 2018 we asked the question: How will your employer process the value of your seasonal gift? The policy team here at the CIPP wanted to know if anything had changed and this time we received almost twice as many responses.
Here is a comparison between the 2018 and 2021 results:

As you can see, the results are very consistent between the years with only a 3% swing at maximum in any given method. This means that the “not applicable” response has not come down which we would have loved to see, and only a negligible rise in payrolling which we may have expected to see gain some popularity.
We may revisit some other quick polls in the future to see how other areas of payroll have developed over time, hopefully with some more dramatic findings.
