With the pending changes to SSP coming into force in April 2026. we have received feedback detailing various concerns about the measures.
Despite the fact we are still waiting on the final guidance we wanted to understand what impacts the policy change will have on your business.
Last week’s Quick Poll asked: will the SSP changes impact your business?
47% of respondents indicated, No - we pay company sick pay over and above SSP, so no big changes for us.
22% of respondents revealed they are concerned with the increasing costs due to needing to pay SSP from day 1.
The rest of the respondents selected multiple options, all of which included at least one yes answer, mostly the, we have lots of people earning under the LEL who will now be entitled to SSP option.
