From the poll results it is evident that salary sacrifice schemes in a workplace are popular and crucial factors for this is that the employee can make tax savings, such as tax relief on pension contributions. In addition, both the employee and employer can make savings on National Insurance Contributions (NICs). Another benefit that is widely used as per the poll results is employee assistance programmes, which promotes better mental health at work and gives employees access to emotional and practical support. Workplace parking, one-off bonuses, work in the office days, free lunch meals and staff discounts also proved to be amongst the common employee benefits offered by businesses and employers.
