From the poll results it is clear that many are performing calculations as per the current guidelines as a result of the Harpur Trust v Brazel Supreme Court verdict. It is also evident from the responses that payroll professionals have continued to use the 12.07 percent method. This does not come as a surprise, as the verdict still poses complications and questions for irregular hour workers.
The CIPP will be responding to the consultation on behalf of payroll professionals. All our think tanks are currently full and we thank all of you who have registered interest. However, we need as much feedback as possible from the wider payroll community, that’s why we have also launched a survey.
