In October 2024 the government reaffirmed its commitment to the pensions dashboards programme.
On 3rd September 2025 the pensions dashboards programme published that the State Pension has successfully completed connection to the pensions dashboards ecosystem. Allowing people to see their pensions together in one place for the first time.
Although the news is a welcome step forward, there are still areas that the dashboard doesn’t have the functionality. Users will need to use the Check your State Pension forecast tool on GOV.uk in situations such as:
- A user has already reached state pension age
- To view how many years of National Insurance contributions (NICs) have been made, missed or any incomplete years
- Provide projections of how voluntary contributions would change a state pension.
