With Talk money week taking place between 3-7 November 2025, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are promoting the use of the HMRC app.
HMRC state that over 5.6 million people have used the app, including 4.14 million who have used it to check their PAYE information and almost 2 million who have viewed their annual tax summary.
While this is a great way for employees to check their tax affairs, it is clear that it can also help employers by reducing the number of inbound queries to the payroll team. Promoting its use with employees could have a beneficial influence on your teams and promote employee engagement in their finances. This leaves you with more time to “talk money” and deal with the more complex queries that you receive.
