For the second month in a row, inflation stays firm at 2.2% according to Office for National Statistics (ONS) data for the year up to August.

The Bank of England is due to review the bank rate on 19 September 2024, where we will see if further changes are made in light of a steady inflation figure. This will then have impact son HM Revenue and Customs’ (HMRC’s) late payment interest rates, which you may need to be aware of.
