The Office for Veterans' Affairs and The Rt Hon Johnny Mercer MP have published a consultation seeking evidence on the needs of veterans and their families.
'Supporting Our Veterans: A Consultation' was published in October, and is seeking input from UK veterans and organisations to share their views and experiences to help shape the future of veteran policies.
From a payroll professionals perspective, the most relevant areas of this consultation are those concerning the Veterans National Insurance (NI) relief for employers. These questions are located in Chapter 4: Finance and Welfare, Section 4: Economic Engagement.
The easiest way to respond is via the online questionnaire. If you can’t respond online, there is also a downloadable form plus an email and postal address, under the ‘Ways to respond’ section on the page. This consultation closes on Thursday 4 January 2024 at 5pm.
