Tax credits can be renewed online using a computer, tablet or phone and claimants can also renew on HMRC’s app. HMRC also has a specialist team to support people who cannot go online.
When renewing, tax credit claimants must tell HMRC about any changes to their circumstances that they haven’t already reported, including changes to working hours, childcare costs or income.
