Guidance: Future of apprenticeships in England: guidance for trailblazers
06 March 2014
Updated guidance has been published explaining how employers can help develop government reform in the apprenticeship system.
Trailblazers are leading the way in developing new world class apprenticeships. The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and Department for Education announced the first 8 employer-led trailblazers in their Implementation plan in October 2013.
These trailblazers developed the first 11 new clear and concise apprenticeship standards, which are now published on the Apprenticeships website.
A second phase of trailblazers has been launched involving leading employers in 29 sectors, following employer demand. A full list of these groups, as well as lessons learned and templates from the first phase are included in this updated guidance.
