Full Payment Submission (FPS) email issue

One of our members has alerted us to a problem with the FPS and confirmation from HMRC via email.

At the end of last month the member ran a supplementary payrun and when he submitted the FPS he received the usual email confirmation from the Government Gateway; however, for some reason could not print it nor forward it using Outlook (Outlook would just crash). This happened for two PAYE references that had a supplementary run.

The member logged a call with HMRC’s Online Services helpdesk and they confirmed that there was a temporary issue with their emails and Outlook that had now been resolved.

The crux of the matter is that if someone has received a FPS confirmation email that they cannot forward or print on Outlook then the only way to get a paper copy if one is required, is to take a screenshot.
