PAYE service availability and issues

Issues have been reported on new S tax codes and new Government Gateway accounts.

Annual coding run (P9 - tax regime)

HMRC are aware of an issue which is under urgent investigation whereby customers who are expecting to receive the new Scottish S code for employees, are not seeing this information when downloading into their third party software. As soon as HMRC have the fix and recovery solution confirmed HMRC will update you.

New Government Gateway accounts

HMRC are aware that after creating a new Government Gateway account at our website, some users are being immediately asked to login with their new User ID. Please do login to complete your account details.
