A significant 51% have expressed that recruitment and retention is the main workplace challenge faced. With so many unknowns in the labour market, many organisations are looking to instead retain talent. Equally, with a competitive market, rehiring could be a trial for some employers, especially with the knock-on-effects of the pandemic and absences. On the other hand, 33% have voted for pay and wages, which can tie into financial constraints after the pandemic and also a result of the current economy condition. Others have also shared, that holiday pay calculations for casual and zero hours workers, changing pension schemes, budgeting, off-payroll working rules, new systems and client timeline controls are some other challenges encountered.
