The policy and research team were ­formally established in 1999 with a remit to provide members of the CIPP with a voice at government consultation forums influencing legislation as well as raising awareness of the role that payroll, pensions and reward play in the business arena. The team strive to serve the needs of the CIPP membership by acting as a conduit via which concerns can be heard and ­addressed.

The CIPP Think Tanks look to take steps to ensure that the wealth of knowledge and experience that is held by full and fellow members can be harnessed to the full.

The CIPP is delighted to offer benchmarking of payroll free of charge to our full and fellow members.

Designed to measure the four key strands of providing a payroll service:

  1. Accuracy, timeliness and completeness and the evaluation of the effectiveness of your end to end HR/payroll process resulting in every company who take part in the survey being awarded a Sigma level for their payroll service
  2. Compliance with statutory filing/payment deadlines
  3. Data security/confidentiality
