Do you or your clients operate payroll giving?

29 November 2022

Payroll Giving (sometimes known as Give as You Earn) is an easy and tax-efficient way of making regular donations to your favourite charities straight from your pay.

The CIPP is part of the Accessible Payroll Giving project, which is a cross-sector and cross-stakeholder initiative, to build a business case that could be taken to the Government to make having a Payroll Giving scheme mandatory for companies over a certain size. Organisations involved in the project group are:

Charities: Barnardo’s, Macmillan, Together for Animals, Dog’s Trust, Cancer Research UK

Payroll Giving agencies: Charities Aid Foundation, Charitable Giving, Charities Trust, PayCaptain, GivingForce Foundation

Professional Fundraising Organisations: Hands on Payroll Giving, StC Payroll Giving, GoodPAYE

Professional bodies: Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIoF)

We want to understand the barriers to implementing a scheme, so we can inform employers / payroll service providers how they can overcome them.

At the same time, we also want to know how employers / payroll service providers who currently operate a payroll giving scheme find it.

Therefore, we would really appreciate your time in completing this short survey, which should take less than five minutes: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CXLXMHT.

Together we can make a difference this Payroll Giving Month. Love payroll giving.
