Pay.uk confirms updates to the Direct Debit and BACS Direct Credit Scheme rules

Pay.UK has confirmed that there has been some important updates to the Direct Debit and BACS Debit Credit Scheme rules, and that they will be implemented from 2 January 2021. Businesses must be aware of and plan for the changes.
A list of the guides and rules that have been updated has been provided. There is also a useful summary relating to each guide that details what the main changes are, but in order to view the version(s) of the guide and rules that is / are relevant to an organisation, there will be the requirement to log on to the password protected area of the Bacs.co.uk website. Where businesses have not yet applied for a password, they can do so here.
