Shared Parental Leave and Pay tools

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has launched new tools online to help individuals to establish if they are eligible for Shared Parental Leave and Pay, and also to help parents to decide how to share the leave that is potentially available to them. Employers may also use the tool to help their staff.
The eligibility tool should take no more than five minutes to complete and transforms the complex rules into one simple process. The planning tool can also be completed in a relatively small amount of time, but it is anticipated that parents and employers will revisit the tool as they decide on the dates that the parents wish to take for Shared Parental Leave.
