Agents unable to log in to their online account

HMRC is aware that a small number of agents are currently unable to login to their online account and are working to resolve the issue.

Agents may be receiving one of 3 messages:

  1. Sorry you can’t join the new tax agents service today, we are controlling how many people can join in a day and we have reached our limit, please try again any day from Monday to Friday. You can still use your usual HMRC online services.
  2. Sorry, you’re not eligible to join the new tax agents service.
  3. Not authorised.

HMRC is working to resolve this issue and will update the PAYE service availability and issues page once a fix has been delivered.
